This writing stuff sometimes just gets to be hard to find time with all our free time. It’s amazing! The hard part is getting to the internet from where we are. It’s 40 KM to Melaque from here and with no tow car, taxis or buses its almost impossible.
Anyway, it’s been 2 months and we are very happy with our spot on this beach. The people around us are helpful, friendly and party animals. It’s been an adventure learning this “boon docking” thing. Not as easy as one might think. I mean with no water, electricity, or sewage hook up, how does one manage? I’ll let you know that we did find a solar panel and that gives us the power we need. We get beer, water, laundry service, veggies, fruits, and ice cream delivered. The sewage part, I won’t go there!
So, I just need to fill you all in on what’s happened.
First of all, I am stuck in paradise while Jo-Ann had to fly back to Canada for some family issues. She will not return until February 14th. OUCH!!! When she returns our plans will change. To what I don’t know for this year yet but we will keep you posted.
Since that last post which was over a month ago this is what we have done. We took a long bike ride into no man’s land. We actually were headed to Blue Bay but got lost. Opps, guess we should have taken the GPS.
On December 5th Jo-Ann celebrated a birthday and had a blast. A surprise party was put together by our new RV friends. I had to take Jo-Ann away for a few hours while the party was set up. We had some REALLY good margaritas at a palapa named Catos. Yum Yum. By the time we returned the Donkey Piñata was raised and balloons were placed. You can image from there on.
A few days later we had Hermit Crab races. That was really a flop because we didn’t realize those little buggers could boogie so fast, so the race was over in about 15 seconds. But hey, another excuse for a party.
Mac and Allen aboard S/V Effie were nice enough to deliver some presents to us so we paid the delivery charges with Lobster. A day later they along with crew mate Jane from S/V Anticipation came to our beach for music and a bon fire. I think we all had a great time, but know body really remembers.
Days later the beach party was on another beach for some boogie boarding. We decided to bring the kayak as well. That was a mistake as you can see in the photo. No explanation necessary.
Now it’s January 5th and I am still waiting on the return of Jo-Ann. It is what it is. So after Jo-Ann left, I spent Christmas here on the beach. December 30th I went to Barra De Navidad to see some cruisers and stayed the night aboard LadyHawke. Came back the following day and by 10PM I was asleep. I missed the News Years party but that’s ok. I was not in the mood. I woke up at 12:35 and looked out the window to see the party still in full swing. There was no way I could ever catch up so I went back to bed.

Not much to really write about so that’s all you get for now. Ya’ll be good now ya hear! And Happy New Year to ya.
Oh Boy!
Ryan and Jo-Ann are "ex-cruisers" who decided to get off a boat and on to land. With a 27 foot RV and a 1978 Jeep CJ5. The RV Adventure that only happens in books. From Mazatlan, Mexico to...???, we hope to see and experience what only a few people have ever seen or done.
Hey Ryan, love your site! Thanks for having cold ones ready for us when we finished snorkeling the aquarium earlier this week! We look forward to seeing you again soon.
